Welcome to the Draft Corangamite Regional Catchment Strategy
Regional Catchment Strategies are a requirement under Part 4, Division 1 of the Catchment and Land Protection Act (1994). The Corangamite Regional Catchment Strategy is being renewed in line with approved Guidelines that have been produced by the Victorian Catchment Management Council. As part of the renewal process, this working version is being made available to the general community to view its content and make comment through the “have your say” function.
A series of landscape based on-line workshops are being run in conjunction with this process. A draft Corangamite Regional Catchment Strategy will also be available for general community feedback on the Engage Victoria which is the platform used to provide access to Victorian government consultations.
When viewing this document there may be some areas that are incomplete or unavailable to be accessed, this is purely to do with this strategy being a “work in progress” and should be viewed and considered as such.
A Foreword from the Chair of the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority will be provided to this site once the community engagement process has been run and the Regional Catchment Strategy renewal process has been completed.
The Corangamite Regional Catchment Strategy provides a vision for the integrated management of natural resources in the Corangamite region. It is a blueprint for catchment health in the future and builds on the achievements and lessons from the past. A Summary of the RCS is provided in addition to the entire on-line layout contained in this site.
A summary document will be produced after appropriate consultation
